A campaign teaches you a lot about people, place and pace.
You learn how much happens between the formal moments. In the car, after a forum, in the quiet conversations before someone leaves the room.
I’m still reflecting on it all.
But one thing has stayed with me: leadership is not only about having something to say. It is also about learning how to listen without rushing the answer.
